First sign of success for the doctors protesting all over the nation is visible now with CM Mamta Banerjee agreeing to meet the medical employees today afternoon. The nation wide strike was annouced by the Indian Medical Association after the Junior doctors faced assault in the wake of Bengal riot.

The doctors from all over the nation gradually joined the protest and terminated non-essential medical services. After a long term of protests, strikes and ultimatums following to get better security arrangements by the doctors, the Bengal CM agreed upon meeting the heads of the two Medical Institutes. AIIMS representative in his statement said that the obstinancy of one person is putting lives of thousands at stake. Before this the Health Minister also requested the Bengal CM not to make this issue a personal grudge.
